Crazy Socks & Writer's Block

It's time to play catch up over here on the blog. I've been gone for awhile and it's time to get back. Life is crazy and going too fast and I want to remember it! I thought it'd be appropriate to start with my new years resolutions. At the end of the year, Sammy and I sat down and made our resolutions. I tried to make mine as simple as possible, without cutting myself short. I made sure they were things that I could attain. So, here are my resolutions for the year! 1. Finish a book of scripture cover to cover. I decided to go with the Old Testament this year. Things are getting pretty crazy in there, and I'm only in Genesis.  2. Finish a draft of a story. Every time I make goals, I've always said that I'm going to finish a book. And that just isn't attainable for me at the moment! I'm in school, working, being a wife, and so many other things. So, I feel that finishing a rough draft is something that I'll be able to actually achieve! ...

Last night we got to have a visit with Elder Hoyt, one of the missionaries who was in the ward when we first moved in. He was with Elder Wipfler who has been here that long as well. All we needed was Elder Brennan who's gone home and it would have been just like old times.  It was a lot of fun catching up with Hoyt since it's been awhile since we've seen him. He shared a really cool story with us. Apparently these three missionaries had been praying for a few months to have a baptism. They wanted to have one by June 28th. They were doing everything they could think of to meet this goal, constantly fasting and praying. On June 7th, they were heartbroken. It usually takes three weeks of attending church in order for someone to be eligible to be baptized.  Well, on June 14th we showed up out of nowhere. We went to Sunday school with the missionaries, and then Sammy pulled them aside and said he wanted to be baptized. Ok, this is bizarre in and of itself. People don't usual...

This is my person. I love him:)  We try pho together. Well, I try it. He tells me the best flavor to try. He loves puppies He's very sweet. When I try on clothes in the fitting room he sits with me and tells me  beautiful when I feel anything but.  He plays with my hair whenever I have a headache.  I love my person. The end
