Crazy Socks & Writer's Block

Isn't there some song about confessions? Yeah, never heard it. But I've got some confessions. 1. I think the Fancy Feast cat love story is So. Stinking. Cute! I love how they continued it over multiple commercials. Brilliance. 2. I really dislike James Patterson. Mostly because he has a whole section in the bookstore, and his name is THIS BIG  on all his books while the name of the other author who probably wrote most of the books name is  This Big. James Patterson? I'm onto you. I know you probably write one chapter in the whole book, then say you co-wrote it, then put your name at the top in really big letters while the true authors name is so tiny, then you go make a commercial with your creepy self and say, "Hey, I just wrote this new book, woo I'm so awesome I make commercials even though I'm a pathological liar, so you should read my book!" Plus, he took one of my favorite series of all time and made it run on forever and ever and ever...

Yesterday was a pretty weird day. I had to wake up early to go get some cash register training at work because they're updating the system and bla bla. So I woke up earlier than I have all summer and headed over to work. My sister was taking her driving test so I had to take my mom's huge car which scares me to death to drive. Funny thing about her car. It has one of those little clicker remote things to unlock it. The remotes are broken though so you can't unlock it. You'd think you could just stick the key in the door and unlock it like back in the olden days, but no. That sets the car alarm off. So I got to set the alarm off early in the morning yesterday and at work when I left. It was embarrassing.  When I got there I was five minutes late and all the doors were locked. So I banged on the windows for a good five minutes before calling the store. When someone answered I said ever so nicely, Hey, I'm locked out and I need to get in. Except I said the wrong mana...

Yesterday was my first 'official' shift at VS. From 6-midnight. What a crazy first shift right?! Nonetheless I was excited. I had to go get a bunch more black clothes before work though. The hardest thing was shoes because I work in the back room and I have to climb up a lot of things. But I still want to look dressy. So Toms it was! Except they don't sell the fake toms anymore, so I ended up getting the real thing. The guy at the shoe store was adamant that I get the tightest pair possible because they're going to stretch. Hey, I got new shoes and another person did in the deal. So I went to work. I had an unpleasant visitor that morning though, my period. Stupid period. Need I go over all the times it visited this past year? My birthday, the bestby's birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, college interview, graduation, and now this. Stupid period. Stupid cramps. Anyways. The store closed at six so that we could get to work on the SEMI-ANNUAL SALE!!!! Yo...

Today was my first day of work as VS. I was excited and extremely nervous at the same time. Deep down I was scared it would turn out like when I helped out the bestby at his work for Black Friday. I was let go after two hours because not enough people were buying and I was dating an employee. It was ok, I mean, I felt bad for breaking Gibb's rule number 12 from NCIS. Speaking of NCIS, that reminded me of Burn Notice. Jeffery Donovan was here the other day for Bolder Boulder! SO COOL! He was dating one of my teachers daughters so he came to my high school awhile ago, but that was the one time I decided to skip a school place. I missed out on sitting in the same room as MICHAEL WESTEN!!!!! Oh well, I think I'll be ok.  Anyways. I'm still employed, I made it through my first day yay! Training was more tiring than I thought it would be. Why is it that just sitting and listening can be so tiring? I'm always exhausted after church sometimes after learning so much! We watche...

Twas rainy today. That's alright though. I like rain, when there's no thunder. Plus I was able to get my daily sun before it started raining. It's really pretty outside and smells fantastic. Rain :) Today I made the most awesome pasta ever! Ok, it wasn't the most a awesome pasta ever, but it was pretty good! Instead of just plain alfredo, I grabbed some spinach we had, cooked that up in some olive oil and with garlic powder, and put that in the alfredo. It was a nice touch to an otherwise boring lunch. Then I headed over to the bestby's! I'm taking advantage of these last few days where I can do what I want when I want with no interruptions, from work. Because guess what! I GOT THE JOB! Yep, that's right, you're now reading the blog of Victoria's Secret's newest employee. It's only a seasonal job though, but I'm hoping if I do a really good job I'll be able to transfer to the one down the street from my school! I'm so excite...

Monday was my job interview! In the morning, as part of my goals, I went out for a bike ride. Except before my bike ride, I had a cinnamon roll for breakfast. My mom made homemade ones the night before and I figured I'd eat it, then go work it off. WORST. IDEA. EVER. I was dizzy and felt weird and as soon as I got home, the heartburn started. At least, I think it was heart burn. My throat was burning like it'd never burned before and I could feel gunk in it, yeah not good. I was freaking out because I had my interview in a few hours and I just wanted it to stop. It eventually did after I tried not to think about it. And had some tums. While waiting for my heartburn to stop, I finally watched the season finale of NCIS with my mom. It made me SO mad! I won't spoil it here. I was very very very upset and it's going to be a long wait of Tuesday's until it comes back on again and I find out what happens! Job interview. I got to the store twenty minutes early. The bes...

I saw the Avengers today! It was a tough decision to pick a movie with the gift cards Keigan gave Sammy and I. Johnny Dep in Dark Shadows? The Avengers? Maybe a chick flick? Or wait until Snow White comes out? I tried asking my Facebook friends for advice but there were no answers. So, I went with my gut and picked the Avengers. I'm so glad that I did! It was FANTASTIC! I love how they connected all the superheros unique stories together! It was intense. I'm glad I saw it! Guess what! I got a call for a job interview! From. . . . Victoria's Secret! Everyone looks at me funny when I tell them I applied there. Yes, it's an underwear store. So? Everybody wears underwear. And they have very cute, modest underwear thank you very much that my teenage self loves. I feel more confident when I know I look cute ;) Doesn't everyone? So yeah. I'm very excited for my interview! It's a group interview which I'm pretty nervous about because those are the only kinds...
