THE question game

So. Two years ago, during thanksgiving break, I was texting this cute guy. And we played THE question game. As in the same game from that Sarah Dessen novel, but I'm pretty sure Sarah Dessen doesn't have ownership over said game. It's quite simple to play. You just ask questions, and then answer them. They can be as ridiculous or crazy as you want. I've played this game with quite a few people, but it was never as fun as it was with Sammy. We played all Thanksgiving break, and it was great. Well, not when I asked him why he liked this other girl. Cause he told me she was different and had her own kind of beauty and bla bla bla. I remember thinking to myself, well, people don't get much different than me. Don't worry, Sammy eventually came around ;) Case in point. This is my church outfit. I have never been afraid to mix patterns. And oh my goodness, you should really get sweater tights. They're my new favorite thing. They're tights but they feel like...

Breaking Dawn Part 2

I never put my hair up because my ears get cold. Well, just tie a scarf around your head and problem solved. I never knew you could buy movie tickets early until my beloved J.P told me! So, Friday I saw Breaking Dawn part 2 and it was definitely a night to remember! Definitely the best movie in the whole series. I was awed at how great of a job they did bringing everything together, the title sequences alone blew my mind at how artistically they were able to show the part of the book that movie starts of on, where Bella's just laying there turning into a vampire. It was amazing. I'm seeing it again this week, just by the way. They twist blew my mind and had Sammy screaming and me furiously chowing down on popcorn. For some reason it helped with the intense moment. Haha! But first off. Not only was it an amazing movie, but it was an amazing date. Can I just say that I have the best boyfriend ever who will take me to go see Twilight? And he actually likes it? When Sa...

Hey Brodo

Note to self: Halloween party in college = watching Lord of the Rings. I can dig that. :) Best Sammy quote of the day- "Well, I'm the boyfriend so there's no times I've been right and you've been wrong. Make sure to put that on your blog." HAHA! Found out I have to write a 12 page paper for my honors class. At least the topics cool, we have to describe a society in which everyone is self actualizing with evidence from three books. Guess who's referencing Brave New World?! That would be me. That book has really stuck with me, because the ending made me so angry. You can read about that here . But I can truly say it's one of my favorites and has made me think the most and relate it to everyday life. I keep looking at the Tattered Cover to see if they'll get a cheap copy in, because it's definitely one I want to keep on my bookshelf. I actually got a compliment on my combination of striped cardigan and polka dot pajamas, and it was sincere. ...

I'm that girl sniffing the salad dressings.

Last night, I decided I wanted some salad. But I'm getting a little sick of ranch. So I decided to be bold and use Thousand Island dressing. There was a slight problem though. There were four fancy salad dressing containers that were the same color as thousand island. Naturally I pulled them all out and sniffed each one until I knew which one was thousand island. Yep, I got some strange looks from my fellow college students. Oh well! This is how I entertained myself this morning. Have a happy Saturday!

Looks Better on Me

I know I'm not the only one who does this. Who steals their man's shirts. But, it's not our faults they look better on us anyways! This little number lives with me now :) It's so comfy! It's not my fault it looks better on me. In other news, thanks so much for all the kind words for Sammy. It's only day two, and unfortunately it seems like this journey has a few more hills. It doesn't surprise me. Oh patience, you cursed virtue. I remember once praying for patience to have patience, worst idea ever. Patience has always been my weak spot, and being with Sammy, I've definitely had to learn some patience. Even from the beginning, the agonizing moments waiting for him to text me back what our math homework was. Trying to worm my way into his group of friends. Man. Now I really miss my junior year. That was the best year of school ever. I had a pet fish, met Sammy, built a catapult, did crazy fun things with my girls. Cursed facebook and it's easy...

I Wear Clothes

I wear clothes. Yep! It's a true statement! But ever since I've gotten down here, I've been trying to make more of an effort to not live in my baggy tshirts. And it's been really fun! I'm nowhere near fashion blogger status, and I have to take all these pictures myself because all my roommates are gone by the time I put clothes on. But yeah! I thought I had some pretty cute outfits this week! Sorry they're all sideways. I'm too lazy to flip them. It rained the first time this day! I was so warm with my scarf, and my umbrella's my new best friend! I can't believe I've never used one until this week. I also was one of the only cashiers in the bookstore that day, which was really fun! I was busy the whole time and the shift went really fast! When my lead clocked me out he was shocked that I'd done 300 transactions. I felt pretty awesome. And my friends visited me, they kept me entertained. On Thursday, we got Mexican food. They...

Singles Ward- Take 2. Plus Some Creepers

Yesterday, I gave the singles ward another chance. Yep. That's right. Guess what? It was a lot better. That's what ward I will be attending for college, since, the college singles ward I'm supposed to go to requires four bus transfers and walking two miles to get too. Did I mention it's only 12 miles away? It's going to be hard enough to get my butt up for church anyways. I don't want to have any excuses such as, Oh, it's -5 degrees outside. I'm not walking two miles in the snow drifts. Which is why I've decided to go to the singles branch instead. Only one bus and only walking half a mile. Score! It was much better! All my friends were there, there was a completely different atmosphere. I liked it a lot. I even signed up to make quesadillas for next Sunday, which is a big deal because I haven't really been able to make long term plans the past month. So hopefully all will go well and I will be here to serve quesadillas. Which ones are the ques...

Dear Wednesday

Dear Wednesday, Thank you for letting me sleep in. :) It was muchly appreciated. Dear Victoria's Secret, Goodbye. I put in my two weeks notice yesterday. I hope you don't miss me too much. Ha. Ha. Ha. Dear Campus Bookstore, Thank you for hiring me. Thank you for hiring me on the spot. I have high hopes that things will be much more enjoyable with you. Plus, you aren't open on Sundays, so I won't have to worry about that. But alas, you are just a temporary job for the start. I will work my butt off. Hopefully that will be enough to stay. Dear Traffic, Thank you for letting me get to where I needed to be on time, twice. :) Dear Ginger, Thanks for waking me up at four in the morning because you wanted a treat. And when said treat went under the stove, you wanted another one. Then you wouldn't come back to bed because you wanted to get the treat under the stove. You're a dork. But I still love you. Dear Family, Thank you for the fun day yesterday. Wh...

Huuurr Cut

I done did go get my huuuur cute today. Haha! I love getting my hair cut, it's like special pampering for an hour. I have my special haircut lady that I always go to and I have NO idea what I will do if she ever moves! I always just go get a trim because I've been trying to grow out my hair since fifth grade and it's taking it's sweet time. Maybe one day I'll be bold and cut it real short. Maybe. These photos were inspired from my hair cut. And photo booth. Had to do the duck face peace sign picture.

. . . And then this happened

So, I have curly hair. And I absolutely love it! One of my fears is that later on in life when I get preggo, that hormones will ruin it and then it will be gone. If that happens, I'm screwed because I have no idea how to style my hair. Anyways. I noticed a little knot in my hair. And another. And some more. So I decided to brush them out. That is what brushes are for. And then this happened. My curls + brush = BAD IDEA!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I brush my hair everyday, just when it's wet. (I know, that's bad for your hair, but I don't want to look like this everyday!) I think I'll be this for Halloween.

Workin Guurl/American Ninja Warrior

My last post about work wasn't very, uhmm, positive. Now that I've been there a whole week though, I'm starting to enjoy it a whole lot more. I'm getting into the groove of things. I feel so cool walking around with my beauty belt and radio and having voices talk inside my head constantly. I love the people I work with. They're all very quirky and different. I love how my managers always say thank you for every little thing. It's like, hey you don't have to be thanking me I should be thanking you for the opportunity to work here! On my days off, I've worn as much color as possible though. Just saying. For example Bam! White, red, and orange. All in one outfit.  People are still giving me funny looks when I tell them where I work. And my bank account isn't looking so hot. I put everything away and I'm like I want this and this and this and this, and yeah. It's not good. I'm so grateful to have a job though. :)  All those new co...

Shoeless

Shoeless is the way to go. Ok, maybe not in all situations, like at dirty gas stations or in the middle of Wyoming. But whenever I have an opportunity to slip my shoes off, I go for it. It's just so liberating and free. Whenever I take big tests, I make sure to wear shoes that easily slip on and off. For some reason I always do better. I remember the first time I went shoeless while driving. I was running late for who knows what and didn't have time to put my tennis shoes on and untie the laces because I just always kick em off and I know you're not supposed to do that but blah blah blah. I was so late though that I just hopped in the car, and drove shoeless. It was liberating. I felt so free. So, dangerous. Like I was living on the edge. I know, all I did was drive without shoes. But man. People think I'm weird when I tell them this. But then I tell them to try it just once. Just once put your barefoot onto that gas pedal. I've converted a few people to sho...

Sock Buns and Other Randomness.

I finally grabbed my camera out of my purse and hooked it up to the computer. There were some from Memorial Day that I forgot to put up of when the bestby and I took Ginger for a walk to the park. She had a whole lot of fun, but I had more watching Sammy try to deal with her. He's never taken a dog for a walk before and when Ginger goes for walks she goes crazy. We were too lazy to ever dog train her so she just takes control. She always has to be in the front and has to sniff everything, and leave a little bit of pee on every. Single. Yard. I swear, she thinks she's guy or something. I'm just glad she didn't poop and I didn't have to clean it up. Ginger took of running the second we got out the door.  Yeah, she has him wrapped around her little, uh, finger?  Going on the walk made me sad and excited. I'm going to miss my little doggie when I'm away. But then again, I can get an apartment soon and get my own dog. Just not one from the pet stor...
