First Day

Today was my first day of work as VS. I was excited and extremely nervous at the same time. Deep down I was scared it would turn out like when I helped out the bestby at his work for Black Friday. I was let go after two hours because not enough people were buying and I was dating an employee. It was ok, I mean, I felt bad for breaking Gibb's rule number 12 from NCIS. Speaking of NCIS, that reminded me of Burn Notice. Jeffery Donovan was here the other day for Bolder Boulder! SO COOL! He was dating one of my teachers daughters so he came to my high school awhile ago, but that was the one time I decided to skip a school place. I missed out on sitting in the same room as MICHAEL WESTEN!!!!! Oh well, I think I'll be ok.  Anyways. I'm still employed, I made it through my first day yay! Training was more tiring than I thought it would be. Why is it that just sitting and listening can be so tiring? I'm always exhausted after church sometimes after learning so much! We watche...

Editing Time.

I did it. I finished a novel that is actually long enough to be published. I checked out the Writer's Market book from the library today. Now, it's time for the next step, the one I never reach. Editing. Editing scares the crap out of me. Then again, I've only finished a few stories in my life and they're embarrassingly written, I would be better off just writing those ones entirely. I've heard that editing is a whole lot easier than actually getting that first very very touch draft out. I hope so. I started back at the beginning of my story, and I'm getting excited. I also went waaay off track from the story I thought I was going to write then than the one I just finished. I'm excited. I'm having fun. I feel like this is the one. I'm getting serious guys. I'm going to go get some stamps and envelopes soon and start sending out to agents. Eeeep! If this is how I spend the rest of my life, I'd be a very happy girl. Just saying.

Squirrel!

I always make fun of my mom for stopping traffic so that a stupid squirrel can cross the street safely. There's a lot of squirrels in the world, it's no big deal. But today, I found myself stopped honking at a squirrel, waiting for it to figure out that it needed to get out of the road. Seriously, if it doesn't know that the road is a dangerous place yet, when is it ever going to learn? I hope you have a good life squirrel and wise up a bit, because everyone else isn't as nice as me.

This Little Piggy Went to the Cabaret

Yesterday the bestby took me on a cute date. He said I could pick where we went for dinner. I don't think he was expecting me to say BARBEQUE! But that is what I wanted. Because I haven't been to a bbq place since I was a vegetarian. Which was six years ago. Since I was a vegetarian though, I couldn't enjoy it! But tonight I could! So, we went to a bbq place. I had fun dressing up all girly before we went, I even did my hair! The whole ride there I had my feet on the dash and was like this is the life. I took pictures of my feet on the dash, but I will not be sharing them because, no. BBQ! The bestby was so hungry, he wanted to eat the menu. I didn't like all the dead animals featured as decorations. But I did find it funny that they named everything after Charlotte's Web. I want to go read that now.  There were ducks watching us from above My food! I was impressed by the quickness. They had the food out in five minutes! I got the baby ribs....

16 Going on 17

My sister's 16th birthday was the other day. So now I can officially sing the 16 going on 17 song to her. I made sure to tell everyone that was her age that, she's 16 now, so she can go on dates. My parents aren't too thrilled about this new development in her life. Ha! For her birthday, she got a curling iron and a straightener. She realized just a little bit ago that when I leave, my straightener will leave with me, so she needs one of her own. And I guess she just want's a curling iron. She asked me if it was the right kind to which I replied, I don't know. Hi! I have naturally curly hair. I don't know how to use a curling iron. I hope the day never comes that I have to learn how to use one, because then I'm screwed. I tried curling her hair for her. It didn't turn out so pretty. In honor of her birthday/I was cleaning my room and didn't know where to put them, I covered her bed in squishy pony stickers. Then we spent a good ten minutes poki...

Rainy Wednesday. . . AND I GOT A JOB!

Twas rainy today. That's alright though. I like rain, when there's no thunder. Plus I was able to get my daily sun before it started raining. It's really pretty outside and smells fantastic. Rain :) Today I made the most awesome pasta ever! Ok, it wasn't the most a awesome pasta ever, but it was pretty good! Instead of just plain alfredo, I grabbed some spinach we had, cooked that up in some olive oil and with garlic powder, and put that in the alfredo. It was a nice touch to an otherwise boring lunch. Then I headed over to the bestby's! I'm taking advantage of these last few days where I can do what I want when I want with no interruptions, from work. Because guess what! I GOT THE JOB! Yep, that's right, you're now reading the blog of Victoria's Secret's newest employee. It's only a seasonal job though, but I'm hoping if I do a really good job I'll be able to transfer to the one down the street from my school! I'm so excite...

Monday, Monday, Monday!

Monday was my job interview! In the morning, as part of my goals, I went out for a bike ride. Except before my bike ride, I had a cinnamon roll for breakfast. My mom made homemade ones the night before and I figured I'd eat it, then go work it off. WORST. IDEA. EVER. I was dizzy and felt weird and as soon as I got home, the heartburn started. At least, I think it was heart burn. My throat was burning like it'd never burned before and I could feel gunk in it, yeah not good. I was freaking out because I had my interview in a few hours and I just wanted it to stop. It eventually did after I tried not to think about it. And had some tums. While waiting for my heartburn to stop, I finally watched the season finale of NCIS with my mom. It made me SO mad! I won't spoil it here. I was very very very upset and it's going to be a long wait of Tuesday's until it comes back on again and I find out what happens! Job interview. I got to the store twenty minutes early. The bes...

Jam Session

Last Saturday was the jam session! This was the third one that my dad and I have led a group which is always fun :) They switched things around this year so it was a little chaotic in the beginning, but everything did end up working out. Since my dad was gone all day helping set things up and my mom was running around town with my grandma, I had to drive the truck to the jam session. I always feel so awesome when I drive the truck. It's so high off the ground and so big and I feel pretty legit. Just not when I need to turn, switch lanes, park, find the windshield wipers, and so on. Haha! But if I'm going in a straight line, it's awesome! Everyone who plays rock and roll never shows up on time to play rock and roll, so there was a lot of sitting around waiting. I felt so on edge and uncomfortable during that time. I was just itching to get started! Luckily, the bestby lives across the street from the church we were at so he came over and hung out with me. I loved show...

Empty

Everyone's gone. It feels so empty here. Even though my immediate family is still here, it feels so empty. I'd gotten so used to having ten extra people running around my house, then one, then three again. Now, it's just us. I could totally write a depressing post about how I feel, but that's no fun to read. I'm sick of feeling sad and lost, I've cried so much this last week. Happy time! There was just a scary commercial on the tv. I felt like a little kid again because I couldn't find the remote fast enough to turn it so I just plugged my ears and closed my eyes for eternity until I was absolutely sure it was over. I saw a few scary movies back in my rebel days, cough cough 10th grade, and I regret that so much, they still haunt me a lot of nights. Stupid rebel me. I've realized that I plug my ears differently than a lot of people. Is there a right or a wrong way to do that? I stick my fingers in my ears but I've seen a lot of people press on th...

Goals

Well. It's happened. I'm bored. I've only been out a week and I'm bored. I remember my young women's leader would always say, only boring people get bored. Hence, a new game plan! I decided on a few goals for this summer! 1. Get a job. 2. Exercise every day. 3. Read the BOM everyday. 4. Write everyday. So far, I'm doing pretty good! It is only day one though, so I better keep this up. I went for a bike ride this morning! Man, I am out of shape! And I've grown a couple inches since the last time I rode my bike. Which was like. . . Ok too long ago to remember. It took me an hour and a half just to get out the door! I had to get my bike down from the ceiling, attempt to fill up the tires with air, look around the garage for the little thingy that goes on the air compressor, call my dad when I can't find it, fill up the tires, try to figure out why the little screwy thing won't go back on, charge my iPod, and try to find one of those little back pack thi...

Avenging Secrets!

I saw the Avengers today! It was a tough decision to pick a movie with the gift cards Keigan gave Sammy and I. Johnny Dep in Dark Shadows? The Avengers? Maybe a chick flick? Or wait until Snow White comes out? I tried asking my Facebook friends for advice but there were no answers. So, I went with my gut and picked the Avengers. I'm so glad that I did! It was FANTASTIC! I love how they connected all the superheros unique stories together! It was intense. I'm glad I saw it! Guess what! I got a call for a job interview! From. . . . Victoria's Secret! Everyone looks at me funny when I tell them I applied there. Yes, it's an underwear store. So? Everybody wears underwear. And they have very cute, modest underwear thank you very much that my teenage self loves. I feel more confident when I know I look cute ;) Doesn't everyone? So yeah. I'm very excited for my interview! It's a group interview which I'm pretty nervous about because those are the only kinds...

Graduation

Last night was the night I've been waiting for since Kindergarten. Ok, maybe not Kindergarten. But at least the last four years. Now it's over. It came and went so quickly. It was amazing though. I had butterflies all day long. Most of the relatives just chilled most of the day and the day passed very quickly. Before I knew it I was throwing on a dress and had my tassels tied around my head. Wait, those aren't an awesome headband? Oh. Sad day.  Then came the robe. We had to buy our robes and keep them. I think I'm going to wear mine for Halloween and be a High school graduate at college. Oh wait, all of them are graduates too? Ohhh. . . Then came the pictures the pictures pictures in the front yard. There were a lot of other pictures but they all looked the same as the ones I took, so they won't be featured in this blog. After pictures we headed up to Boulder. We had dinner at a Moose Cafe. My mom picked it, she really likes moose. Meese? What...
