Crazy Socks & Writer's Block

This week was my birthday, and it was amazing. I felt so loved and happy and just, ahh. I loved all the birthday texts, phone calls, and messages of love. Sammy spoiled me of course, along with my family. :) Thank you for your love, support, and for always being there for me. I love you all : ) Sorry this lacks eloquence.  

I started a new story. It's even a little bit fantasy. I'm getting really excited about it. I discovered the art of the blow dryer and diffuser. I'm loving my hair now! Curls, curls, curls. I love this outfit. Yes, I took this in a bathroom. I'm loving wearing jeans. Fall! Yay! I keep finding awesome crockpot recipes I want to try out. Getting sang to in Primary is the awkwardest thing ever. Hello, I'm a giant over here standing next to the other birthday girl! It's my birthday week. I convinced Sammy that since we don't celebrate Hanukah, that I should get an entire birthday week and it'll balance out in the end. I'm loving my lit class, hating public health and economics o life. Someone who has crazy anxiety should not take public health. It's like Web M.D but, for everything. The rains came down and the floods came up. It was quite scary, but thankfully we're all alright. Colorado sure could use some sunshine though! A customer corrected me when I said boyfriend. He was like, don't you mean fiance? Never seen the guy in my life. Still getting used to this engaged thing ;) I left my mark on the future brother in law. Watched a documentary on ebolla. Have officially decided that public health wasn't for me. I've been thinking that for a couple weeks now, and the ebolla was the last straw. I have been freaking out about germies all week. Went on a sister date. Got matching squirrel necklaces. Had fun. Discovered that boxing is actually boring. Darn Rocky for making it look so awesome. Went on a lunch date with my hot banker fiance. Love is getting up early on your day off to ride on the bus with me because the weather is freaking out. Love is dropping me off at the bus stop. Love is suggesting you leave on an earlier bus. Love is giving your fiancé the rest of the gummy worms  I'm feeling so loved today. 

Today I'm thankful for all the men and woman who risk their lives to protect us. I'm thankful for the firemen who stand in the heat with boots collecting change for other causes.  I'm thankful for the calm and understanding of people in emergency rooms.  I'm thankful for the policemen who come to our house at midnight to check out the man who was banging on our door.  I'm thankful that even though the sound is unnerving, I know the sirens are there to help.  I'm thankful for the strong country I live in that bands together when it really counts, and can take a day out of their lives to remember.  I'm thankful that the pain of today doesn't effect me personally, but I will remember and be strong for those who it does. May those people have comfort and peace today, and may we remember.
