Week 32
I had another doctor's appointment where I learned that my blood pressure is on the low end, which explains why I felt like I was going to pass out at work that one day, why it's such a struggle to stand for long periods of time, and why I keep getting dizzy randomly. There's not really anything I can do about it though except hope that my legs start to swell up which will cause my blood pressure to rise. 😂. My belly measured at 31 cm which is within the normal range, and baby's heartbeat sounded good. My doctor thinks he was head down because of where she was finding the heartbeat. Here's hoping he stays that way!
I was really craving a McFlurry, and then the book I was reading had an entire scene of people eating them, so Sammy was kind enough to pick me one up for dinner :) He's been so great with getting all of my cravings. I'm definitely starting to feel the limits of my shrinking stomach though, I was so full from just eating a six inch sub from Subway that I felt like I was going to pop for hours and my back started hurting. I'm hungry all the time, but I can barely eat anything haha!
A man came up to me at work and leaned down so that his face was inches from mine. He then asked me if anyone had told me that I'm getting pretty fat and need to lay off the sweets. I just sat there for a moment because I didn't feel like that deserved a response. He waited there, in my face, so I finally said no. He then said that I'm looking great and gave me a creepy smile. I felt so disgusted after that encounter. I did not ask for him to come in and comment on my body. His wife was there and later tried to explain that he was just kidding, that he was just trying to make conversation. My body is not a conversation starter, sorry. Just because I'm pregnant doesn't make my body public domain.
We drove by our old apartment to see how it was, and it's crazy. They have fencing up everywhere saying that there is an asbestos risk, there are security cars posted around, and giant wooden tunnels coming out of the building. We saw our old unit and the roof is completely collapsed above it.

We went to a breastfeeding class together and it was really beneficial for both of us. Sammy was taking notes like crazy the whole time, and I learned a lot, especially about babies' hunger cues that happen before crying. Who know what it will actually be like when the baby is here, but I definitely want to try to breastfeed. The instructor kept laughing at Sammy because he's such an expressive person and every time she gave us a fact that was pretty out there, he'd make a face. We were the youngest people in the class; if I had to guess everyone else's ages I would say mid-thirties to forties. I wonder how old they all thought we were.
The instructor also gave us a summary of their Happiest Baby on the Block class which had a lot of new information for us. We learned the five S's of calming a baby- swaddling, side-lying, sucking, shhhing, and swinging. Let's hope that those techniques actually work for us! If not, at least Sammy knows the correct way to fold a burrito now, something that has alluded him his whole life.
After our class we went upstairs to check out the nursing store because I have no idea what to do when it comes to nursing bras and such, and the lady almost laughed at me because I'm there way too early. She said she'd see me back after my baby was born and we'd go from there.
I'd put in an order for Walmart Grocery Pickup for after our class, but we were finished a lot earlier than I thought we'd be and had some time to kill, so we went on a date to Jamba Juice. We sat outside and discussed all the things we learned. When we decided it was too hot and time to go, a tow truck parked right behind our car so we had to wait for them to move.
We had lunch with Sammy's parents, who told us that their house is on the market and the open house would be next week. When we went to stop by, the For Sale sign was already in the yard. It was a bit overwhelming because they only told us a week before that they were going to sell their house in the first place. I'm hoping that everything goes well with that, and we'll see where they end up. It's funny because my parents decided to sell their house right after our wedding, and now that we're expecting a baby Sammy's are selling theirs. Every time we have a big life change, our family moves.
It was really hot on Sunday and I was feeling nauseous and dizzy when I woke up, and since for some reason they seem incapable of repairing the AC at church, we stayed home. I've already had to leave a few times because of the heat, and those were on days I was feeling fine. Sammy and I had a relaxing day together and it was nice to spend the entire day with him. My favorite part was when we made wontons together while watching Queer Eye. We were both able to fold them easily thanks to the swaddling lesson ;)

Week 33

I had a work training that I was nervous about for various reasons. But, it was near Sammy's work and started around the same time, so I was able to carpool with him which was so much fun! I wish that we could do that more often because it's really nice to have that extra two hours together that we usually spend commuting to other places. The training went pretty good, I learned some pretty random facts about fish quality in Colorado, and tried out making a little app on the website Bitsbox. I fidgeted the whole time trying to find a comfortable position though. At this point, they are few and far between without just laying in bed with my pillows haha!
Sammy's cousin came to town and with all our crazy schedules, we were able to have dinner with them at Torchy's. It was a great time and we loved catching up with them!
There's a BBQ place that Sammy and I have been wanting to go to for awhile and we were finally able to get there. Afterwards, we wanted to go to the mall and then see a movie, but I was wiped so Sammy dropped me off at home and we stayed in to watch To All the Boys I've Loved Before. That movie is freaking adorable and we both loved it, probably because we fell in love in high school. I highly recommend it! Peter Kavinsky is the cutest!
I was so bored that I made this cross stitch for my coworker. He loved it, and his mom came in and told me that it's hanging in the middle of his room.

I took a day off of work to go on a date with Sammy. I met him for lunch and got to meet all of his coworkers. It's funny how people can look one way in your head, and then when you meet them they look completely different. We went to Panera and had a wonderful time. I can't wait to do that more after the baby is born, and bring him with us!
