Aaron was blessed on November 25th. I've been excited for his blessing day for a long time. I was so excited that Sammy could bless him, and that he would be. I was excited to hear what blessings were in store for our son.
I was originally stressed out about finding Aaron the perfect outfit for his blessing. So much so that I let Aaron have a full on meltdown in a Target while I looked at the clothes for a moment.
This was his face after said meltdown.
But then the next day we were in the hospital and getting Aaron the perfect outfit was the least of my worries. It's funny how priorities can change so quickly. When we finally got out we grabbed him this adorable penguin outfit.
The day of his blessing Sammy and I were both nervous in the morning. We got up at seven and started getting ready. We left for the church a whole hour early.
We were so lucky to have my family, Sammy's family, friends I grew up with, and friends we've made here there to support us. We took up one whole side of the church. When it was time for the blessing, the circle of friends was pretty large. It was great to see all of those people there to support Sammy and Aaron.
Aaron was a little fussy for his blessing, so our good friend Ben held his pacifier in his mouth the whole time and tried to keep him happy.

Sammy blessed Aaron to have good health physically, mentally, and emotionally. He blessed him to know his Heavenly Father and his Savior. He blessed him to serve others. He blessed him to have a forever partner and to learn friendship with them. It was a sweet blessing.
After the blessing Sammy held Aaron up for everyone to see and Aaron cried real loud for everyone. He was over it :) Saamy sat back down with his parents and his mom grabbed Aaron. I was holding his burp cloth and had the thought I should hand it to her. Right then Aaron puked all down her dress. I was too late.
Aaron decided that he didn't want to stay quiet after that so I took him out into the hallway to try and quiet him down. My siblings were out there along with my friends came out as well and we got to chat for a bit and they had the chance to hold him.
After the blessing we headed over to my parents house for lunch. Sammy and I bought food the night before but I was so worried that we didn't have enough. It all worked out though and we fed everyone who came over.
We tried to get a nice family picture of us, but Aaron was hungry and not feeling it.

He thought his bow tie was delicious though.
Aaron's blessing day was a great day spent with family and friends, and I'm so grateful for how smoothly it went :)
