"Sometimes people don't think you love them unless everyone else can see." I may or may not have quoted this wrong, but I got the gist of it. It's from the movie Valentine's day, and it really stuck out to me. Especially looking at yesterday. Just being at work, I got to hear about all the fancy restraunts and such everyone was going to and the griping about costs. I couldn't help but smile, knowing that my Valentine's day was going to seem so simple to all of them, but was absolutely perfect for the two of us. And knowing that I don't need everyone else knowing about our love for it to be real. I keep most of it to myself and that's ok. That doesn't make it any less real or any less important. We know, and that's all that matters. The point of this post isn't to share my day with the world, but for journaling purposes.
Yesterday was a great day. A simple wonderful great day. I couldn't stop giggling and smiling all day long. I got to spend the whole day with Sammy which is the best :)

Joice helped me do my makeup in the morning. She taught me all about how to do blush. Apparently with my cheekbones, I need to make a fish face to get it on right. I did my hair and picked my outfit myself though ;)
Sammy knows me pretty well though, because I did get some chocolate. And it was the good stuff. I was in heaven. Sammy loves to keep it different every year, red carnations and a daisy in a beautiful pot. He told me he knew if he just got me flowers, I wouldn't have anywhere to put them. So thoughtful. I love that boy. And then there's the new friend to snuggle with when he can't be there.
I wrote Sammy a love note, and sealed it with a kiss. I'm pretty proud of the lip mark as a stamp, I've never gotten one to come out that well.

It's a good thing they have their sracha there, because Sammy loves that on all his noodles. That's our restraunt.
After dinner we headed to the bookstore and spent a few hours in there browsing and reading. The perfect date for the two of us with all the books and vintage furniture. Sammy found some great poetry, and I found some books about finishing a novel and got some new tips I'm going to be implementing.

I got onto the Facebook and saw this suggestion, to send Sammy some chocolate. It gave me some faith in humanity. Big Brother isn't doing that well because if it was, it would have known Sammy hates chocolate and wouldn't have suggested such a silly thing. Thanks though facebook for reminding me how well I know my best friend.

To celebrate, Sammy and I headed downtown. In true Colorado fashion, it was sunny in the morning and snowing by one. It was a pretty chilly walk down there, but it was fun. We're pretty silly at crossing the street. It was fun looking in all the windows and seeing everyone at their valentine dinner's. The two of us went to Noodles and Co. We were the only people there, and it was awesome. I got to have mac and cheese AND their meatballs. I really love me some mac and cheese.
Sammy spoiled me and let me get an apple juice in a fancy glass. I drank it with a straw and felt so elegant. I'm saving the glass by the way. It's so cool!

That's my reading man. Ahh yeah :)
Last but not least, we watched Valentine's Day together. It's tradition. The perfect end to the day of love.
I love my best friend. I hope everyone had a great Valentine's day with those they love. Love, what a marvelous thing.
