I have three finals done, two to go. Yay! Thank you for all the sweet words of encouragement. Oh, P.S my last blogpost was actually a presentation for a class, I hate powerpoints and don't trust the links in them so I used my blog instead, that's why it makes no sense.
Last week I taught Joice about rock and roll and Star Wars. I started with Luke and then circled back to Anakin. The best part was when I was telling her about the third movie she stopped me and said, wait. Anakin Skywalker is Darth Vadar?! It was a great moment.
We had out last girls night of the semester. It was also my first one out on the town. Homebody living in the city problems. Joice and I ended up being the only ones who went at the last moment. Becca did my hair and Joice my makeup. Why didn't anyone ever tell me girls nights were so awesome? It always hits me how lucky I am to have gotten the opportunity to live in the dorms and have these ladies as my roommates. They're truly some of my best friends and I've learned so much from them. It's crazy how we all came from around the country and ended up together.

Last Saturday was the jam session. (It's a non profit event to show people they can play rock and roll without drugs or alcohol and still have fun. Everyone breaks up into mini bands and we teach them two songs which we all play on stage at the end of the night.) Sammy came again and even played bass! I was so proud of him and it was so fun seeing how excited he was that he was playing an instrument. He kept saying that he'll be the bass player in our family band which is good, because that's what we need. I ended up singing for our group and it was pretty scary but I think I did alright on stage. I had no idea what was going on behind me the whole time, apparently it was a bit of a mess music wise. Oh well! It was a fun night and I enjoyed it, but a little sad at the same time not seeing people on stage that are always there.
Yesterday I went up north to visit my best friend Kelsey. It was cool seeing where she's living and being in an actual college town. I'd forgotten that I don't go to your traditional secluded college since I'm smack dab in the middle of the city and I kept saying over and over,"This is so weird!" It was fun having her show me around and just catching up. It's so weird, if you'd asked me a year and a half ago, or the day I first met Kelsey I never would have thought that we'd be the after high school sort of friends. But we are and I'm so glad to have had her all this time. Of course, we were so busy that I got no pictures, once again.
Today it was hot! Like almost ninety. It was snowing two weeks ago, what happened? I wore shorts to work and was worried all day if they were appropriate, because I couldn't remember if they're in the dress code. I didn't need to though because when I got there my old lead was like, you're wearing shorts! And the girl next to him was like "Those look more like pants to me." And so I said these are my mormon shorts! And now that's my new work nickname. Which reminds me, two weeks ago on the first day it got hot I was amazed that people at school were still wearing clothes! They weren't naked like it high school! Weird concept my friends.
Now I'm going to go edit my short story once again for my portfolio. I'll probably put another chunk of it up tomorrow.
