On Friday, my sister, mom and I headed out to get supplies for a garden. Two actually, one for them and one I can take to my apartment as soon as I move in. I've been wanting to garden for so long so it was fun to finally go out and get the supplies. My sister was awesome and did a lot of research on what varieties of plants grow best where we live and how to start the seeds.
We bought one batch of seeds and a little seed started kit, but one of the strawberry seeds didn't have the seeds in it! Strawberries are what I want to grow most so this was not alright. So, Brinley headed out with Tanner to get more seeds. They came back two hours later after going to three different Walmarts and a home depot. I put all the seeds in their little seed pods, my fingernails still have dirt underneath them.
We're growing carrots, tomatoes, peas, zuchinni, cucumbers, peppers, beans, lettuce, spinach, cilantro, parsley, basil, strawberries, and a few flowers.
So naturally, this little garden is going to get it's own little series on the blog, to be updated every Sunday : ) I'm excited!

I really want this garden to survive. We're going to buy worms for the dirt and such. I'm hoping that this year is the year the garden actually works. I want to be as self sufficient as possible!
