I FREAKING LOVE MEG CABOT! Need I say more? I know I already did a post about her, but, I just love her so much! I just finished reading Big Boned, book three of one of her series and it was soooo. good. So then I needed more Meg Cabot and since the library has nothing else of hers, I hit up my handy dandy bookshelf in my room and picked up another one of my favorites by her, the Mediator series. (It has a sexy Mexican in it, and I love my Mexicans;)
But I freaking love Meg Cabot. I can't get enough of her. So, I thought I would do some reviews of her books, for those of you who haven't had the delight of reading her books. She writes teen and adult and I loooove all of them. All of her stories have feisty protagonists who kick butt. And there's always just enough romance. I absolutely love that she'll drag it out over a series, but not too long where I just want to throw the book at the wall. It's just right.
I just finished reading the entire Heather Wells series, Big Boned being the third one. The fourth book comes out July 10th, I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!! It's about Heather, who used to be a former rockstar but decided she wanted to do her own thing and told the company off. At the same time she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her, and she started to gain weight. So she left the company and her boyfriend, and was all alone. Her now ex-boyfriend's brother Cooper tells her she can live in the top of his brownstone for free. She then gets a job running a dorm at a college. When girls start mysteriously dying, she takes the investigation into her own hands.
Sounds confusing, but it's not. I highly recommend it! It isn't a gross murder story and had me laughing the whole time. Just read the first chapter, you'll be hooked.

Her newest teen series is Abandon and Underworld. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. She took the myth of Persephone and Hades, gave it a modern twist and spunk, and bam. These two books. I loved them. I love Greek mythology, I love romance, and I love Meg Cabot and this combined all three. They're about Pierce, who died and went to the underworld where she saw this guy she recognized from when she was little. She misses her boat to the afterlife trying to talk to him, so he ends up taking her to his home. Slight problem, he rules the underworld and she's stuck there forever with him. That's not ok with Pierce though so she attacks him and comes back to life. She tries to return back to her normal life but can't because trouble keeps following her everywhere. Oh yeah, and the ruler of the Underworld just happens to be way hot.
I'm not really into watching all those ghost hunting shows and stuff. I don't know what to think on the matter so I don't think about it very often. But I absolutely loved this series too! (That's the second book by the way) The Mediator series is about Suze, a mediator who helps ghosts move on. This often leaves her in the hospital with concussions and such because some ghosts aren't that nice. When she moves to Cali with her mom, she hopes to get a fresh start but doesn't because she finds a ghost named Jesse living in her room. And he's not leaving. And he's really hot. Need I say more?
I LOVE THIS SERIES! It's about a girl who gets struck by lightning, and then every night after that when she goes to sleep, she has a dream about where a missing person is. But she can't just tell the cops where they are, oh no, she has to go find them herself. Which usually doesn't end well. It's a lot like the Mediator series and Heather Wells, but unique as well.
For some reason, I can't get the last picture to upload. My last favorite is her Queen of Babble series. It combines fashion, travel, and a girl who always gets into trouble because she can't stop talking. I totally relate to this book. Well, ok, not everything in it, but the getting into trouble with my big mouth part.
So, yeah. I love Meg Cabot. :)
