Relationships. They're hard. In the beginning it's all smiles and laughs. But then life sets in. That's what everyone keeps telling me, and they keep telling me it's just going to get harder and harder. That I haven't seen anything yet. I know I still have a whole lot to learn. A lot of growing to do. But I know this is real, and I know this is different. That everything will somehow work out. This week I've been thinking a lot and praying and just trying to figure some things out. I was blog crawling and Jessica at The Morning Letters posted a video of her singing a song for her anniversary. It was beautiful and heartfelt and gave me goosebumps and made me cry. It was the exact song I needed to hear at that moment. That even when things are hard, not to give up. I wasn't planning on giving up, but it was nice to hear those words. They boosted me up. So did the loving words and advice of friend and leader. Reading her words gave me goosebumps and feel so much better. Everyone out there has their own advice and putting it all together really helps. I'm so grateful to have such caring, wise people in my life. Thank you. :)
So I decided to make a little playlist of songs that boost me up in any mood. Just incase there's a song on there someone else needs to hear. *Please don't judge my taste in music ;)*
Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae. I like this one when I just can't believe how silly some people are, or at the end of a crazy week. This is the only song I like by them though.
Animal by Neon Trees. I always played this for my fish and he would always swim around, even when he was sick. Also, I played this whenever I was pining after the bestby and he had me in the friend zone ;)
Harder To Breathe by Maroon 5. This is my song for when I'm extremely pissed off. There have been multiple nights where I just park and belt this song at the top of my lungs, letting out my inner rage. Haha.
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. Love. This. Song. Another sweet love song. It's also my I'mhavingapanicattackinthemiddleofthenightandIcan'tsleep song. I've fallen asleep multiple times listening to this song over and over. Thank goodness for the repeat button on iPods.
What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. My yearbook friends showed me this one, so it always reminds me of them. It's my windows down, wind in my hair song. Always gets me pumped. I always start off with this when writing, it's been working lately!
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I linked the version with lyrics because, lets face it, some of us (me) need them. Whenever I have to dj anything no matter how small, I always play this song. It's always a hit.
The One That Got Away by Katy Perry. Even though it's sort of a depressing song, I love the beat. I love the message. Never take anything for granted. I love how raw her voice gets towards the end when she talks about how she can't replace him, she can't buy him back. Yeah. I like this song. I don't want to let anyone ever get away.
If I'm ever in need of a good laugh, this is where I go.Venetian Princess Check her out. If you don't find something that makes you laugh, then there's something definitely wrong. . . .
Last, but certainly not least, the song that started all this. I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz.
There's so many other songs that I could put but these are the first ones that popped into my head. Such a random bunch. I call it my playlist o livin'. For tonight at least.
