I've decided to share a little bit of my writing every monday. Try it out for a bit. So here's this weeks excerpt!
When we reached the studio and the sound room, Lance watched over my shoulder as I turned everything on making sure it worked.
“Why're you doing that before the band is even here with everything hooked up?” he asked. I shrugged in response. It was just something that I did. Once everything looked good, it was time to go meet the band. I opened up the door to the waiting room where the band was sitting. Then I about fainted. Because he was sitting there with a big grin on his face.
I swallowed the big lump in my throat. Swallowed again just for good measure. Did he recognize me? How could he not? But he wasn't saying anything. What did that mean? My flight or fight reflexes were kicking in and my body was screaming hysterically at me to run. But I couldn't because I had a job to do. Plus I was wearing three inch heels. Which are nothing compared to some people, but I am not the most graceful person in the world.
“Hey, my name's Julie and I'm going to running this session for you guys today.” I went around the group shaking everyone's hand, my tour guide Barbie smile plastered to my face. I shook his hand last. They all said hello to me enthusiastically. Their excitement at finally recording a demo shone through. They all introduced themselves to me. Travis- drums. Zack- bass. Rob- lead guitar. And the lead singer/other guitarist didn't even need to introduce himself to me. There was no way that I would ever forget his name.
“Alright well lets get started. Lance, why don't you help them get everything set up and plugged in?” Lance grinned, probably thinking this was his chance to prove himself. Instead of watching him show off his skills at turning amps on, I went over to the sound room where I would be working and collapsed into the chair. This couldn't seriously be happening.

So what happens next and what was his name and how do they know each other?
